At The Place Studio, we don't just treat the symptoms — we help your body understand itself again. As an experienced massage therapist, movement therapist, and chiropractor in Budapest, my goal is to restore the body's balance, mobility, and long-term well-being through personalized treatments.
I have many years of experience in treating back pain, neck stiffness, joint limitations, and chronic muscle tension. My philosophy: we treat the root causes of pain, not just the symptoms, by combining manual chiropractic care, movement therapy, and massage.

We help you put the missing pieces of the puzzle together, uncovering the emotional or nervous system tension behind your musculoskeletal issues—so your healing can truly be complete.

Since last August, I have been going to Bence. I first sought his help because of arm and shoulder pain; I could barely lift my arm, and it was accompanied by severe pain. After three sessions, my symptoms completely disappeared. After every treatment, I feel as if I have been reborn.

Chiropractic treatment primarily focuses on adjusting the joints and skeletal structure and restoring movement. Its goal is to restore the body’s symmetry, relieve restricted movement, and reduce pain. Massage, on the other hand, focuses on the muscles and soft tissues. It helps release tension, relax muscles, promote recovery, and reduce stress. Different types of massage serve different purposes: sports massage supports muscle performance and recovery, while Swedish massage primarily focuses on relaxation and improving blood circulation. The combination of the two is extremely effective: chiropractic treatment quickly restores the body’s natural movement patterns, while massage relaxes the muscles and aids recovery. Together, they provide faster, more noticeable results and long-term, sustainable balance for the body.

If you are experiencing only minor issues, massage alone can help with relaxation and recovery. However, if there are more significant problems, such as persistent pain or restricted movement, it is advisable to start with chiropractic treatment to quickly restore the body’s natural balance and movement patterns. In such cases, massage therapy can be started simultaneously: it relaxes the muscles, supports recovery, and enhances the effectiveness of chiropractic treatment. This way, the body responds more quickly, the improvements are more noticeable, and long-term results are more sustainable.
A treatment typically lasts 30–60 minutes, depending on the patient’s condition. It begins with a brief assessment, followed by targeted therapy, and concludes with a discussion of how many sessions may be needed and which at-home exercises or complementary therapies can support long-term results.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing that does not restrict movement. If you have any medical records relevant to the treatment, bring them with you or send them to us in advance. A bottle of water is also useful for hydration.
The combination of chiropractic and massage treatments can be effective for various musculoskeletal issues, such as: * Back and lower back pain * Neck and shoulder tension * Spine-related problems, including herniated discs * Restricted movement or joint stiffness * Support for recovery after sports or injuries The goal of the treatment is to reduce pain, increase mobility, and restore the body’s harmonious function. Massage can be used as a complementary therapy alongside chiropractic treatment to enhance recovery and maintain long-term results.
Yes, in most cases it is considered safe when performed by a qualified, experienced professional, provided there are no health conditions that would contraindicate it. The treatment aims to mobilize the joints and muscles, restore movement, and relieve tension and stiffness. Massage serves as a complementary therapy to aid relaxation, support recovery, and maintain long-term results.
Treatments are generally safe for individuals aged 14 to 70+, depending on their physical condition. In special cases, it can also be performed on younger children (under 14) if justified. For older adults, it is always important to review medical records to rule out any contraindications.
After the treatment, you may experience muscle soreness or a temporary increase in pain, as the body has been moved and loosened from its long-standing incorrect positions. These symptoms usually last 3–6 days and gradually subside, while the original pain may almost completely disappear. The time it takes to feel full improvement depends on how long-standing and severe the musculoskeletal issues are.
Yes, the two methods complement each other very well. Massage helps relax the muscles, while chiropractic treatment focuses on restoring the joints. However, it is important to allow at least 1–1.5 weeks between the two treatments so that the body has enough time to properly recover.
In my chiropractic treatments, I combine the main elements of the Pap Miklós method (csontkovácskezelés.hu) and the Érmelléki Method® with my own unique techniques, as well as additional methods I have learned over the years. The treatment includes stretching and mobilization maneuvers that help restore the body’s natural mobility. The Eastern techniques I have studied further enhance the harmony between the body and movement. After the treatment, I provide personalized video guides for stretching and exercises to make the effects quicker and longer-lasting. As a complementary therapy, sports and Swedish massage can also be applied, each serving different purposes: sports massage mainly supports muscle recovery, tension release, and performance enhancement, while Swedish massage focuses on relaxation, improved circulation, and overall relaxation. Together, they aid in loosening, recovery, and maintaining long-term results, making the overall effect of the treatment more complete and sustainable.
Treatments generally start as a course to bring the body into a symmetrical, comfortable state. This forms the foundation for maintaining long-term balance. After completing the course, preventive chiropractic treatments are recommended approximately every 3 months, while sports or Swedish massages are suggested every 3–4 weeks to maintain good condition, ensure relaxation, support recovery, and sustain balance over time. The frequency of treatments and massages is always adjusted to the individual needs of the body, ensuring the best possible results.
The main difference is that combined treatment not only includes movement therapy but also complementary therapies, such as cupping. In contrast, movement therapy primarily focuses on mobilizing, strengthening, and relaxing the muscles and joints. It is important to always consider contraindications, as cupping or chiropractic treatment may not be suitable for everyone. If you are unsure, be sure to consult us to determine which treatment is most appropriate for you.
Sports massage specifically supports muscle recovery, relieves tension, and enhances performance. It is often used before training as a warm-up or after exercise or competition to accelerate muscle recovery. It helps prevent injuries and improves movement quality. Swedish massage, on the other hand, focuses more on relaxation and tension relief. Its soothing techniques improve circulation, reduce stress and stiffness, and promote overall physical and mental rejuvenation. Simply put: sports massage is more active and targeted to support movement and performance, while Swedish massage primarily focuses on relaxation and recovery. Both can be used as complementary therapies alongside chiropractic treatments to maintain a harmonious, pain-free body in the long term.
The appearance of marks following cupping is a normal part of the therapy; depending on the condition of the tissues, they fade completely within 1 to 2.5 weeks. The intensity of the marks is directly related to the severity of the underlying issues: Intense, red, or deep purple discoloration: Indicates local inflammation, overloaded, improperly functioning, or tight (adhered) muscles, or other musculoskeletal complaints. As the treatment series progresses, these marks will become significantly lighter. As the musculoskeletal complaints ease and muscle function improves, the regeneration time also shortens: after subsequent sessions, the marks will disappear within a few days, or at most a week.
